Alocril is the trade name of a prescription drug containing nedocromil as the active component.

Alocril is indicated for the treatment of signs and symptoms (itchy eyes, swelling of the surface of the eyes, and red eyes) associated with allergic conjunctivitis, a form of allergic reaction affecting the eyes. Alocril is manufactured by Allergan Inc., and it is supplied as a clear, pale yellow liquid in a 5ml or 10ml plastic dropper bottle.

Active ingredient

Nedocromil is a mast cell stabilizer and it works by preventing and blocking the release of chemical cells in the body that cause or mediate hypersensitivity reactions.
