What is Atacand?

Atacand is the trade name of a prescription drug containing of candesartan as the active component. Candesartan belongs to a group of heart medications called angiotensin II receptor antagonist and it is used in the management of mild-to-moderate essential hypertension and heart failure. It is often used in combination with other drugs, especially water pills, and is available in different strengths of 4mg, 8mg, 16mg and 32mg per tablet.
